For any training you can sit your exams:
There are two main levels of PRINCE2 exams: Foundation and Practitioner.
PRINCE2 has two current editions: 2017 and 2009. 2009 exams will be superseded from the beginning of 2018, however, a practitioner's existing certification will remain valid.
It may be the most time and cost efficient to sit the Re-registration Exam.
TrainX have a comprehensive set of training options:
True Virtual Classroom with Remote Attendees only
* Blended options include a physically attended session, typically for Practitioner & to sit exams.
Achieving Foundation-level certification demonstrates sufficient understanding of the method for someone to work effectively within, or supporting, a project.
NB: Foundation certification is required before achieving Practitioner certification.
The PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is for anyone managing projects. This could be as part of a formal project management function or a role in which project management is an inherent part of day-to-day work. The Practitioner certification aims to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding in order to apply and tailor the method in a range of different project environments and scenarios.
The Re-registration exam is only applicable to PRINCE2 2009 and is essentially a subset of the Practitioner format. It is only available until the end of 2017 and renewal allows for a further 5 years of registration as a Practitioner.
This certification is aimed at current and aspiring project managers or professionals who manage projects. It is also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including: Project Board members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), Team Managers (e.g. Product Delivery Managers), Project Assurance (e.g. Business Change Analysts), Project Support (e.g. Project and Programme Office personnel) and operational line managers/staff.
Reasons to sit the examination:
The Foundation examination is the entry level for PRINCE2, no formal prerequisites exist.
