This is an examination-based PRINCE2 instructor led training course. Successful candidates will attain certification at PRINCE2 Foundation and for those attending the full five days, Practitioner level also. Candidates will be provided with pre-study materials which need to be completed before the course. Some evening study will be required during the course to assist in preparation of the exam(s).

The training equips candidates with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology, working through each stage of pre-project preparation and the project lifecycle.

PRINCE2 Certification and Related Examinations

There are two main levels of exam: Foundation and Practitioner.

For Foundation level the course is typically up to three days in duration and the exam is taken during the course.

PRINCE2 7th Edition Foundation Certification

The PRINCE2 7th Edition Foundation Certification scheme is owned by AXELOS (Website): PRINCE2 7th Edition Foundation Certification

For Practitioner the course is typically two days in duration and the Foundation certification is a prerequisite. For someone requiring both exams the course is typically five days in duration though this may be split into two or more units with several weeks gap between as long as the learner maintains their knowledge.

Edinburgh PRINCE2 Audience

This course is for anyone involved, or planning to be involved, at any level within a project environment. This includes current and aspiring project managers or professionals who manage projects.

Edinburgh Course Outline - Foundation 3 Days | Practitioner 2 Days

The full combined Edinburgh PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Course is five days in duration. The first three focus on the Foundation level and the remaining two on the Practitioner level.

The events can be attended together, known as a 'combined course' or separately.

The course is delivered via a combination of presentations, discussions and 'hands-on' exercises, delivered by a PeopleCert approved trainer with practical experience of project management. A pre-event preparation pack including PeopleCert's online accessible materials will be sent to everyone attending this event. The course is built around the PRINCE2 7th Edition syllabus and features interesting case studies and relevant examples to illustrate the PRINCE2 method and help candidates understand its concepts.

Foundation: Day One through Day Three
