PRINCE2® 2009 is still available until 31/12/2017.
PRINCE2® 2009 is being replaced entirely by the 2017 version at the end of this year. If you've already studied towards 2009 or are in a team using it then it may be beneficial to sit the 2009 version. A bonus is that you'll be registered for FIVE years - until 2022!
The new version, PRINCE2® 2017 is entirely compatible with the previous version and there is no requirement to update. The 2017 version has a three year validity period at the end of which you'll need to re-sit the Practitioner exam or maintain membership with AXELOS.
Phil H. studied with us in Sheffield in November 2017 and completed his five day course, with minimal evening work and passed the Foundation and Practitioner levels at the first attempt.
Our course web pages and PRINCE2 blog provide full details on the certification process. In summary:
We've put together a short quiz that will have your PRINCE2 synapses firing - it's sourced from the PRINCE2 Manual and while its not matched to Bloom's Taxonomy, it's in the ball-park of the level of knowledge you'll be needing. Let us know how you've done and you'll qualify for discounts on TrainX's courses!

Below are the three landing areas that the quiz returns you to.
Okay, so you didn't do that great. At least you've made a start and possibly it's been a while since you reviewed the manual or worked in a PRINCE2 environment!
Maybe you've never studied the subject at all and simply decided to have a go!
Hopefully from taking this quiz you'll have sparked your interest in achieving or maintaining your Practitioner status. We're here to help in any way we can.
It looks like some study is needed. We'd suggest starting with the basics and working through the Foundation level initially and then move on to approach the Practitioner level.
We'll happily provide some free pointers including the exam objectives and an approach for studying them. As you'll imagine, we're also able to provide you with the training and exams.

Good on you! You're already ahead of the curve with your PRINCE2 2009 knowledge.
Don't stop now! Some organised review and you'll have it perfectly in place!
You've clearly a good grasp of the subject and possibly just need a focused review session to bring you up to speed.
If you've already achieved Foundation and Practitioner then we can provide some background reading and a shorter training session including the Re-registration exam to get you re-registered until 2022!
We'd advise a quick review of the Foundation Syllabus first and then taking the Foundation practise exam to provide you with feedback. Then revisit the Practitioner practise exam and fine tune your study from there before sitting the Re-registration exam proper. We'll happily send the study links for you and of course look to provide the training you request.
We'll happily provide some free pointers including the exam objectives and an approach for studying them. As you'll imagine, we're also able to provide you with the training and exams.
Your current knowledge puts in you in good stead for both exams. To be certain we'd suggest formal training and using the practise exams as feedback to let you focus your study. We'll provide you with the syllabus and study exams and guidance on how to bring yourself fully up to speed.

You're pretty much an expert with the questions we've provided. Good for you, with some efficient review and a practise exam to give you confidence, success should be yours!
We'd suggest reviewing the exam syllabus, particularly the Practitioner areas, reviewing any points that need addressing and then attempting the Practitioner level practise paper to give you full feedback on your knowledge.
In this case we'd suggest taking the Re-registration exam to get yourself re-registered until 2022!
