AgilePM provides guidance for the successful delivery of agile projects. It offers a practical and repeatable methodology that achieves an ideal balance between the standards, rigour and visibility required for good project management, and the fast pace, change and empowerment provided by agile.
The Philosophy drives the entire methodology:
During your TrainX training you'll learn how the philosophy is put into practice.
There are eight Principles in AgilePM that support the Philosophy:
The Principles are themselves supported by People (with defined roles and responsibilities) and are further evidenced in AgilePM's Processes, Products and Practices.
AgilePM stands out in the Agile world in that it integrates project management and product development in a single process. There are 6 phases within the Process which need to be addressed and configured to ensure the correct life-cycle is implemented.
Solution development and delivery is both iterative and incremental. Business needs are driven from prioritised requirements, with the most important business needs being addressed early and less important features are delivered later. The interative development process allows continuous feedback which allows the solution to evolve under guidance of the business representative.
We'll help you learn how to configure the phases to provide the appropriate life-cycle for each of your projects.
People working together effectively are the foundation of any successful project. AgilePM defines clear roles and responsibilities , representing the business, the solution/technical, management and process interests, respectively.
There are three Role Categories:
Some roles can be held by the same person, some roles by multiple persons (e.g. 'Solution Developer'). We cover the interactions between roles in detail during the course.
The products listed are guidelines to the information needed to promote good communication within a project. They are not mandatory, and may not always be presented as documents. Their creation supports projects with strong governance / compliance requirements.
During the course we develop examples of each Product while exploring the project lifecycle.
AgilePM incorporates a set of Practices which, in line with the Philosophy allow rapid, value driven and collaborative development of the solution.
During the course we cover each of the above in detail including their recommended usage in a project.
There are two AgilePM exams - Foundation and Practitioner. We'll make sure you're well prepared for these.
During the course we provide training to cover the Foundation and Practitioner levels and work through a representative project journey, ensuring understanding of each element and how they work together.
Practice exams are provided and feedback given to help with your preparation.
For physically attended classes we provide paper-based exams. For virtually attended courses the exams are computer based.
This level provides the users of the method with the core principles needed to facilitate a successful project and is a prerequisite for the practitioner level.
Foundation Exam Format:
The practitioner level empowers, encourages and equips you with an in-depth knowledge of how to apply and implement these principles into the life of a project manager on a daily basis.
Pre-requisites accepted to be eligible to take the Practitioner examination: AgilePM Foundation, DSDM Foundation or DSDM Advanced Practitioner Certificate
Practitioner Exam Format:
TrainX have a 100% Pass Rate with AgilePM and we're happy to discuss on-site and closed-course deliveries for your team.
We're currently providing two delivery options by which you can achieve AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner:
