Mahdi B. travelled to Sheffield from Algiers and completed his three day course, passed the TK0-201 Computer Based Test and then completed his TK0-202 Video Submission all within a few working days. This, combined with his Microsoft certifications enables him to achieve MCT status.
Ninety-three percent of US companies say they are “not where they want to be” in terms of IT skills (CompTIA, State of the IT Skills Gap, February 2012).
Whether its in a face-to-face environment or via various learning technologies, people learn from people. Using your skills to promote and maintain a learner-centric environment is key to knowledge and skills transfer. CompTIA's Certified Technical Trainer certification covers all aspects of instructor-led training and is worldwide recognised - Microsoft view it as an essential way to demonstrate your instructional competence as part of becoming an MCT.
80% of businesses are expected to be using cloud computing by 2020. This means there's a huge opportunity for training and for you to distinguish yourself as an MCT!
Azure incorporates a great depth and breadth of technologies with products added at increasing frequency.
As an MCT, you'll need a Microsoft Certification to validate your experience and knowledge in the product area you're delivering courses for.
Microsoft focus the MCT requirement on achievable practical skills and experience. For example, you can currently achieve MCT application status by holding an MCSA and the CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) to demonstrate your instructional skills competence. Essentially the CTT+ informs Microsoft that you've completed the instructional skills section of the MCT course.
You can attain the certifications in any order, CTT+ first or Microsoft technical certification first.
It may be most efficient to gain your CTT+ first from a course timing perspective. You don't need to have Microsoft certifications to achieve your CTT+. The CTT+ encourages considering learning from all perspectives i.e. those of the learner, the learner organisation, the trainer and the instructional designer. Considering all viewpoints improves course preparation and learning and may well speed up your own learning process.
We've over 18 year's experience helping people achieve the CompTIA CTT+ and have a 100% pass rate. Many of these, from countries across the world, have had MCT as their goal.
Part of the CTT+ process involves the production of a video in which you'll showcase your presentation skills.
